Vin Diesel’s Facebook Fans Help Bring Letty Back from Dead | HEAVY
I’m a huge fan of the Fast & Furious series; been so since the first movie came out. Ever since being introduced to Vin Diesel as Riddick I’ve followed his movie career. Ironically, it was someone else who ended up becoming my favorite character … Michelle Rodriguez’s Letty.
I was introduced to Michelle in Girlfight and she instantly won me over. She was gorgeous, yes. But it was her fierceness and her “swag” that made her … well, awesome. She isn’t afraid or ashames of being a tomgirl and she holds true to it. We can see that it is genuine. So, of course, like many other Letty fans I was infuriated when they killed Letty off in F&F5. But then there was the teaser. And the emotion kicked in. I clearly remember screaming to the TV in sheer euphoria, tears included (don’t judge me), knowing that she would be resurrected.
And I was elated to see that I was not alone after catching this article on my Facebook feed this afternoon. It seems there was a social movement to bring Letty back and Vin Diesel did what many companies today fail to do. He Listened.
